Margaret Lim is a 2007 graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design and majored in jewellery design. Utilizing the historical and cultural relationship to materials, their uses, and symbols; Margaret looks to communicate in universal terms the important themes of value, community, identity and relationships.
Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally and has received awards, scholarships and grants through the Ontario College of Art and Design, The Ontario Crafts Council, and the Ontario Arts Council. At the end of May 2010 she completed her three year ‘artist in residence’ at Toronto’s ‘Harbourfront Centre’s’ jewellery/metal studio. She currently is the class assistant in the Jewellery Studio at OCAD and now has set up her studio at ‘Elevator Art Lab’.
